Scene Mise En Scene 
Setting: The two characters depicted are in a car park, with a forest behind them. This is a busy car park, as there are lots cars in the image, making this seem like a busy setting with a large amount of people in it. The forest makes the viewer feel the characters are in a more rural setting, as it is abundant.
Hair and Makeup: The first character is wearing a special effects suit which appears to be a Bigfoot mask. The hair is long and untrimmed, and the teeth are yellow and thick, making the character appear that they have not been in common society for a long time, due to their unkempt appearance.
Costume: One character is wearing a clean flannel shirt, which is a nondescript item of clothing for a middle aged male in the 1990s. This makes this character look like a normal man, who lives a suburban life. The other character is wearing a Bigfoot costume, which has wrinkles in the face, making the character appear older.
Props: The two characters are in what appears to be an old red car. The paint is faded and it appears to be rusty. There are other trucks behind the characters which are also now older models, making this a dated film. The other cars cause a sense of urgency due to the danger of running to the other cars. The old car also can make the car journey feel unsteady and unsafe.
Lighting: This is a brightly lit scene, due to the daytime setting. The sunlight is used to make the scene feel like it is around noon, and make the image seem happier than if it was a darker or a rainy day.
Character Expression/Movement: The characters in this scene are positioned in the right third of the screen, and are closer to the side of the image than the centre of the screen. This creates an interesting composition, as one character is also positioned more forward than the other character. Both characters are also screaming, so the viewer can infer that they are in danger or in some form of peril. They are also hanging out of the car and are looking forward, alluding to some form of danger in front of them, or the direction they are going in.

How Cinematography is used to create meaning in the "Do Something!" Scene from The Truman Show

In the 1998 film, " The Truman Show" cinematography is used heavily to create a large amount of meaning which cannot be conveyed through just acting and mise-en-scene alone. Over the story arc of the film, Truman the titular character gradually realizes that his entire life is a lie, and he begins to act erratically due to this realization, something which is shown in the clip from the middle of the film, the " do something! " scene with Truman and his wife, Meryl. This scene starts out with a low angle shot of Meryl standing in front of their kitchen island, which is shot from Truman's eye level, as he is sat down in a dining room chair, looking at her. Juno Mise-En-Scene Essay

The first scene I studied was the “ Doodle which can’t be un-did ” scene, at the beginning of the film where Juno first finds out that she is pregnant, in her hometown’s drugstore. When Juno first enters the shop, she walks the centre of the shop, where the pregnancy tests are located. The location of the tests can be interpreted as Juno’s pregnancy becoming the focal point in her life as it is front and centre in her mind, much like the tests are in the drugstore. As the camera pans around the shop the audience realises it is small but contains a variety of different items. This relates to the rest of the film, as it takes place in Juno’s hometown, making the world that we see Juno in extremely small, but still full of life, much like the small but extremely full drugstore which she starts out her journey in.
